for the years of development that has gone into their
collections. I
initially had an idea way back in 1981 that I wanted
to be able to represent anatomy in a three dimensional,
interactive manner. Back then it was impossible, both
technologically and creatively, computers just weren't
up to it.

years later, the internet came along and after a few
years of watching, waiting and dabbling, I began to
notice an aggregation of anatomical projects from across
the globe. Finally, Primal Pictures came onto the scene
with revelationary work for anatomy lovers. I then
discovered that they were generous enough to allow
the usage of their source imagery for educational purposes.
I
immediately dived deep into the same Quicktime technologies
that I had been previously working with in creating 360° panoramas
and small-scale 3D objects. These factors, coupled with
my love of website creation proved to be the blend of skills
and resources that enabled me to build this website. I
hope to include many more illustrations of body malfunctions
and 'normal' anatomy as part of an ongoing project to bring
some down to earth understanding of how our bodies function.
